Wow, So they pay for the fences?? That is awesome. Putting my application in the works now! Keep the info coming cause the residents are reading!
yep: fences, new wood windows, new doors, porches, columns, painting, roof shingles, wood siding, etc etc etc. spread the word, and email me with any questions!

What are the boundaries? I don't think we qualify, because we live off of Dexter Terrace; which is Anaciostia, but not historic proper.....
I have been doing similar work on my own though, removing the chain link fences, etc....
The Anacostia Historic District is roughly bounded by Martin Luther King Ave. on the west, Good Hope Rd. on the north, Fendall St. and the rear of the Frederick Douglass home on the east, and Bangor St. and Morris Rd. on the south.
