New Supermarket - Survey!

The Anacostia Warehouse Supermarket has been purchased by the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation and will be undergoing a major renovation, re-concepting, and new management-ing. Exciting! But they need your help in determining what exactly the new concept will offer. More organic? More fresh foods? More attractive exterior?

Click Here to fill out the survey (it's fast, it's easy, and it will benefit everyone!) ...and please call for them to do something about unattractiveness of the building. Kind of an eyesore right now...

This would be fantastic. I've given up on the Giant on Alabama Ave so I frequent the Harris Teeter on Potomac Avenue often.

I did the survey I asked for a Super H Mart/Trader Joes style supermarket Please!!!!

Most of all we need a large variety of food for the variety of people who live here (because there is variety of different races and cultures arising) at a great price.

This survey is a great idea; however I'm wondering how many people who live in this neighborhood have Internet access to complete this survey? This renovation is going to affect so many people and everyone needs to have a say. I'm wondering if this supermarket also has a paper survey option they're sending out or making available in the store?

Danielle,

You make a great point. I'm not sure what other efforts are being made.

@Danielle, I thought about the same thing. The Digital Divide is real in southeast making marketing and communication a major challenge when disseminating information.

@Anon- Super H Mart would be great! I suggested an Organic Food Coop ala the Glut or a Trader Joe's Style.

If anything at least modernize, clean up and brighten the place up. It stands at a major intersection and could really liven up Good Hope Road!
