brick by brick
as much as I look forward to this not being a "blight", there's a certain character and intricate story in urban decay: warped rooves, fire-damaged bricks, rusting metal.

It's great that the city is preserving the facades. It is too bad they weren't able to save some of the interior design elements like the stamped ceiling. The house my mom grew up in had a stamped ceiling in the living room.
